what is average dosage for benzodiazepines,and the chances of becoming addicted

People too often say ''addicted'' when they really mean physically dependent.
To be addicted u must be using a substance recklessly even though u know how dangerous it is to do this

Physical dependence is not something less or milder than addiction. For benzodiazepines, It can be the most horrible experience of ur life. There is no medical cure. There is only attempting to reduce ur dose by small enough sequential mounts as ur body learns to remake what the drug destroyed..How long this takes depends on the starting dose. This is something that u have to do, yourself. You must make these reductions very, very small.

What is an average dose? Benzos vary in strength. Many doctors do not understand this. A single mg seems small, right? If it is mg of Xanax or Klonopin, it is 20 times as potent as a mg of Valium. The confusion has led to damage
It is a fact that doctors r prescribing drugs that they do not know how to discontinue. This means that medical supervision can make u worse. A doctor may just guess or use a method designed for street drugs. Thisis shameful. when damage starts, the doctor almost always will blame the victim.

I do not know one doctor anywhere who knows the full story, & they certainly brush off the dangers.

A retired UK doctor is all over the internet, but her ''method'' is not a method at all. It is crossing over to a long half life benzo & then reducing the dose my too much.

Yes, this can kill you. Do not believe the reassurances that benzodiazepines r ''safe'' if taken as directed. The internet is full of people in agonizing pain or torment who did just that. Close to all benzo-dependent people got here by following their doctors' instructions EXACTLY.

Always research any drug that is prescribed for you. You may save ur own life. You have to use ur own intelligence. If ur doctor does harm you, u have no practical response. You r incapacitated & unable to seek legal help

A benzo can save a life in some emergencies. They r not properly used as ongoing prescriptions.
