How do you deal with the tolerance your body builds up
is Klonopin one?
I take it at bedtime and if I get intense butterflies. I started at .25, a few years later needed to go up to .5, and now my Dr. says 1.0 mg. The Dr tells me to take as needed. I try to take half most of the time, but if I am restless or in pain I take a whole one at bedtime. So I guess I have built up tolerance. I think if I quit taking them for a week maybe I could stay at half a tablet for a while. Best wishes.
i'm supposed to, but don't. however i'm also on a lovely cocktail of mood stabilisers and antipsychotics and rarely leave the house, so that could be why i do not need them ;)
theres not much you can do about your tolerance to them except change your dose or switch to something else
Yes I do. A tolerance buildup is inevetible if you take them for long periods of time. I try to hold off taking the med for as long as I can while the sypmtoms are tolerable-watching how long it has been between doses. I can usually take one less dose if I do this. Any time you can get by without, try to, but do not feel guilty when you do need them. Doctor is do not give them out like candy, only when necessary.
I did.it just opened my door to use Tylenol #4. I loved the feeling it gave me! Itt is one that builds toleramt quick. I went off as soon as I felt it could be done! Good Luck
yes, I take two different kinds daily to try to control an inner ear disease is symptoms. Valium and Ativan, everyone reacts different. They do not seem to have a negative affect on me but I am sure I have built up somewhat of a tolerance over the past year of taking them.
I used to take ativan (a benzo) but a psychiatrist instead switched me to seroquel, an antipsychotic but in smaller dosages helps with sleep (and the dopamine neurotransmitter/chemical messenger in the brain). The benzo is should Not be stopped abruptly as seizures, psychosis (break from reality) or even death can occur. One needs to taper off of the drug with direction from their medical doctor. Please talk with ur dr about how ur body feels like it is building up a tolerance & only continue to take the prescribed amount. Perhaps he or she can consider another medication such as seroquel which tends to be less physically addictive.
i used to take them. when it wasnt as effective, i would just take more. thats why so many people cant live without them.
i had to stop because i blacked out while driving and had an accident. thankfully everyone was fine but it sure was an eye opening experience, if you know what i mean.
I take no medicines, they have side effects and chemicals that harm
