REVERSE PROBLEM!
FALSE NEGATIVE URINE TEST FOR BENZO'S - HELP!
l take benzo's, LOT'S of them. BUT, when my doc did a urine test, surprisingly, my tests came back negative, twice! Now, he wo not give them to me anymore!! Being that l suffer from extreme anxiety, perhaps generalized anxiety disorder, this is not good. Now l have to find another doc to write me prescriptions, which ai not easy! Doctors hate writing prescriptions for Benzodiazepines, as you may know, because they are addictive. YET, as someone who has tried every antidepressant on the market over the past 12 years, even Buspar, l know that ONLY benzo's, like Valium & Ativan are the ONLY real relief for DAILY anxiety. The reason my doctor tested me is because l ask him for so many - l take 2mg x 5 times per day - 150 tablets per month. He is been very lenient, liberal and sympathetic with my anxiety issues - up until now. He got suspicious because in fact the meds were working so well that he said to me, ''well you do not look nervous or anxious to me - so l wanna make sure that what l am prescribing to you, you ARE in fact taking.'' Now he thinks I am selling them! Or, giving them away! He said to me, ''it is like CSI, the proof is right here and he showed me the tests, which said, ''FALSE FOR BENZODIAZEPINES''. l said, ''ofcourse I am taking my Ativan, why would not I?? l have terrible anxiety! BUT, now he thinks I am selling them!Which of course I am NOT. Trust me my friends, l do not give my Ativan to anyone. You could not pry them from my cold dead hands! l make light of a very serious dilema for me - l cannot survive at this point without my anti-anxiety medication, not for 1 single day, in fact, it is so serious, that without my meds, l may go into withdrawal, which could lead to seizures, not to mention the terrible mental anguish - and the question which baffles me is, ''why would my urine tests come back FALSE NEGATIVE???
